Lets see How God has used you to achieve Life Changing Initiatives through this Mission in 2008.

1. 1st Youth Convocation: The Premier Edition of our National Youth Convocation was launched in August 2008 at Riviera - Palmeraie, hosting over 300 youths with accomodation, feeding, counseling, seminar, Youth Talks, Drama Ministrations, Choral Concerts, and lots more. Invited Youth Specialist within the country were present to impart in the lives of the youths that participated.
   
   
   
2. National Evangelism: There was Evangelism of The Word, Financial and Material Assistance to the people of San Pedro, Yopougon, PK 18 ABobo, Jean Folly, Triechville and Riviera by the Missionary Evangelist.
   
   
   
3. Conventions & Rallies: The Witnesses, Women, Men, Youths, and Children had their conventions and rallies on an Assemble District and National Level towards the spiritual fortification and restoration of the Church in Côte d'Ivoire.
   
   
4. Prayer & Fasting for the Healing and Blessing of Our Land: Every 2nd Wednesday of Every Month, the whole Church in the Nation gathers in one place to pray for the healing and blessing of the land (Côte d'Ivoire).
   
   
5. Family Week: We discovered that the number of separated families in the country is so alarming that almost every family you meet is in their 2nd or 3rd family after a divorce. This reveals a disregard for God's Original intent for marriage in the land, therefore we initiated a Family Week designed to bring families together. The programme includes Family Questionaire Games, Romantic Dance, Cocktail, Photorama, 1st to 3rd Best Family Gift Prices, and lots of fun for the family. This year  was the premier edition, next year is promised to be with better programmes.
   

To all those who supported us financially, morally, motivationally, prayerfully, materially and other wise in achieving this programmes in 2208, Thank you and God Bless and replenish your purse in Jesus name, Amen.

Welcome To My 2007 Diary

Now, Lets see what God used you to achieve in this country in 2007.

1. Commissioning of the Committee for the Welfare of Youths in Côte d'Ivoire: Discovering the decaying state of lifestyle the youths of this country had had to result to inspired the need for a committee of enlightened and intelligent youth with role modeling abilities to model the youth, starting from the church to the communities. This committee is designed to see to the Welfare of the Youths within its territories on a National Scale. Programmes under this initiative includes Youth Convocation, Talent Hunt Exhibitions, Youths Singspiration, Youth Choral  Group, Youth Drama Group, Youth Counseling and Youth, Price Giving, Seminars and Workshops, Entrepreneurial Education, The Word Of God and more.

Meet Baba Okon

Hello Friends, Welcome to my Blog Page.

My names are James Effiong Okon (JP), I am the Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Côte d'Ivoire Missionary Field. I am a husband to a lovely God fearing woman; Deaconess Elizabeth E. Okon (Civil Servant) and father of 5 wonderful children; Victoria (working), Uwem (business), Margaret (undergraduate), James (undergraduate) and Victor (student). Other members of the family are Jack Sr. (Nigeria Dog) and Jack Jr. (Côte d'Ivoire Dog). We are one big family who is very well aware of God’s Love towards us and we are grateful to Him for this.

Since we are getting personal, I would want to share my passions and hobbies with you; I love doing the Business of my Father in Heaven, I love fortifying people with the word of God, I love my wife and family, I love helping to direct the youths, I am a philanthropist by nature, I love reading, I tend to love working a lot, I love to relax, I love making new friends, I love traveling, I love reading emails from friends, I love chating online with interesting people, I love the people business so that means I am very approachable, some refer to me as a father-figure, others; as a friend.

Presently I am serving God’s flock in Côte d'Ivoire Missionary Field; bringing spiritual, financial, health, mental and necessary fortification to the saints and needy within the field environment. In 2008, with the help of some friends, we have been able to bring an ophthalmologist from Nigeria into Côte d'Ivoire to offer affordable (even free) eye services to the indigenes of this country. Benefactors of this initiative include church members, non-members, Muslims, pagans and even government officials.
